The Council of EU Chambers of Commerce was established in 1982 to promote, foster and extend commercial and economic relations between India and Members of the European Union. The Delegation of the European Commission in India, New Delhi is the Chief Patron. Diplomatic representatives of EU countries are among the special invitees. Indian and European companies connected with Indo-EU trade, commerce, manufacture, services and professions, directly or indirectly, are our patron members.

The Chamber is an important link between European Union – Indian Businesses. The European Union today is India’s largest trading partner, there is a considerable scope for further enhancing trade relations between the two regions. India and the EU both agree that there is a need to aggressively work on increasing bilateral trade and economic co operation. To achieve this, there is an urgent need to develop private sector contacts through frequent business meetings, communication and exposure.

The Council of EU Chambers of Commerce organizes events and business seminars so that businesses from both the regions can interact freely. The Chamber provides a platform for businesses from both the regions to interact and explore possibilities of exports, imports, joint ventures, distribution partners, technology exchange and trade dialogue.

The EU Chambers is an independent, impartial body actively promoting two-way flow of trade, investment between India and members of the EU. It also facilitates technology transfer by providing professional advice, assistance and services to parties interested in such business activities. Activities that aim at articulating views on Government regulations, legislation and procedures with a view. To enhance the scope for expansion of business activities. The Chamber continues to serve with greater zeal the cause of trade, commerce and industry, especially in terms of global trade and investment.
